Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan Felicitates Chhattisgarh’s Achievers at Grand Rajyotsav Celebration in Nava Raipur

Raipur (Chhattisgarh) [India], November 7: In a grand celebration of Chhattisgarh’s cultural and developmental spirit, Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan felicitated 37 distinguished individuals and four institutions at the Chhattisgarh Rajyotsav 2025 in Nava Raipur. The event, presided over by Governor Ramen Deka and graced by Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, brought together leaders, artists, scholars, and innovators under one roof to honour their contributions to the state and the nation.
Among this year’s most celebrated honourees was acclaimed filmmaker Anurag Basu, who received the Kishore Sahu National Decoration for his outstanding contribution to Indian cinema. Known for acclaimed works such as Barfi!, Ludo, and Metro… In Dino, Basu was recognised for his storytelling that bridges art and emotion while representing Indian narratives on global platforms.
Also honoured was Manish Tiwari, a multicultural marketing visionary, founder of Here&Now365, and British Indian of the Year awardee. Based in the UK, Tiwari received the Non-Resident Indian Award for his pioneering work in cross-cultural communications and his efforts to promote India’s image globally through inclusive media and marketing campaigns.
The Vice President lauded the awardees, saying that their achievements reflected “Chhattisgarh’s journey of inclusive growth rooted in creativity, service, and innovation.”
The event celebrated a wide spectrum of excellence — from grassroots activism and literature to tribal upliftment, journalism, and agriculture. Notable recipients included Dr. Kunj Bihari Sharma (Habib Tanveer Award), Gyaneshwari Yadav (Gundadhur Award), Rohit Kumar Kosaria (Panthi Dance Award), Dr. Vinod Kumar Verma (Lala Jagdalpuri Literature Award), and Laleshwari Sahu (Minimata Award).
The evening culminated with vibrant cultural performances reflecting Chhattisgarh’s rich tribal and folk heritage. The Rajyotsav 2025 not only recognised individual brilliance but also reaffirmed the state’s ethos — celebrating tradition, talent, and transformation in equal measure.
