Ahmedabad (Gujarat) [India], November 17:  To revive India’s ancient Vedic traditions, the “Ashwamegh Mahayagna Mahotsav 2026” will be organized on a grand scale from 12th to 20th February 2026 at Khambhaliya Bypass Road, opposite Airport Road, Jamnagar. This grand Yagna is being organized by the Rythmus Foundation, a leading organization that has been actively working for several years in the fields of social, cultural, and spiritual upliftment.

The main highlight of this event is the Ashwamegh Yagna with 5,555 Yajna Kunds, which is being held after 5,555 years on the same date and under the same constellation— the very alignment during which Lord Shri Krishna conducted the Yagna for Yudhishthira in the Mahabharata era. The purpose of this Yagna is not only a religious ritual but also to spread the message of national purification, social welfare, and environmental balance.

Under the guidance of Acharya Pandit Ravindra Bhai Shastriji, more than 1,250 Acharyas and priests will perform sacred chants (Mantras) and Agnihotra rituals during the event.

The ingredients used in this Yagna — including grains, medicinal herbs, ghee, sandalwood, camphor, guggal, and Himalayan honey — are known to purify the environment and boost immunity. According to scientific research, such Yagnas help cleanse the atmosphere and reduce crime rates in nearby areas.

Prior to the Mahayagna, a 21-day Bharat Yatra covering 9,999 km will begin on 14th January 2026. This journey will cover major pilgrimage and cultural sites across India, spreading the message of “Nation Building through Dharma.”

Among the key attractions of the Ashwamegh Mahayagna Mahotsav are: Shrimad Bhagavat Katha and Dharma Sabha, featuring discourses by renowned spiritual speakers and saints, Agriculture Fair, focusing on modern and organic farming techniques, MSME and Trade Fair, creating opportunities for local entrepreneurs, Folk music and theatre performances celebrating Indian culture.Additionally, there will be food festivals, art and handicraft fairs, health camps, and competitions and leadership workshops for children and youth.

More than 6,000 tents will be set up for accommodation, providing facilities for over 20,000 devotees and visitors. Arrangements will include clean restrooms, bathing areas, electricity, food services, and 24×7 medical support. The entire event will be managed by an international-level event management team, with the support of local police, CCTV monitoring, trained volunteers, fire safety systems, and more. The event will also feature live telecast, LED screens, and advanced sound systems to ensure global outreach.

During this grand celebration, there will be an attempt to establish more than 21 world records, in collaboration with organizations such as the World Talent Organization (USA). This event is expected to boost tourism, trade, and employment in the region, offering new opportunities to farmers and MSMEs, while the participation of NRIs will strengthen the local economy.

A special appeal has been made to the media that this Mahayagna is not just a religious ceremony, but a festival of Indian culture, environmental harmony, and national pride. Media organizations are requested to give this historic event special coverage and help spread its spiritual and cultural significance to millions across the world.
