Lingaya’s Lalita Devi Institute of Management and Sciences hosts TEDx talk with Kiran Bedi
New Delhi (India), November 23: The TEDxLLDIMS event, “Beyond Wings,” is evidence of Lingayas Lalita Devi Institute of Management and Sciences’ dedication to expanding the limits to advance the pursuit of knowledge and its profound influence on individuals, communities, and societies. The event’s chief guest was Dr. Kiran Bedi, Former Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry. Kiran Bedi emerged as a prominent figure in India’s law enforcement sector as one of India’s top police officers, renowned for her resolute demeanour, groundbreaking approaches, and unwavering dedication to effecting societal transformation. Kiran Bedi, who retired in 2007, currently oversees the operations of two non-governmental organisations (NGOs) that aim to provide assistance and support to underprivileged communities in rural and urban areas.
While emphasizing the need for education, Bedi, appreciated the vision of Shri Picheswar Gadde, Chairman of Lingaya’s Group of Institution, for establishing the institution of such repute, which is committed to its social responsibilities and also congratulated Ms. Sunita Gadde (Secretary, LLDIMS), and Ms. Amita Kumar (Advisor, LLDIMS) for the same. When asked how she has stayed motivated and able to invest herself in so many things, she answered that motivation is a state of mind that drives the individual. Life is full of choices, and she put the notion of self-policing and diligence as the main factors. She cherished the performances of the LLDIMS students and valued the academic contribution of all the HoDs and faculty members in shaping the young generation of India.
Prof. (Dr.) Pranav Mishara, Director LLDIMS, welcomed all the guests and said that Dr. Kiran Bedi has been a source of inspiration and a role model for the generations of India. Representing the young brigade of the LLDIMS, Ayush Dhall (organizer), a BBA student, and Kriti Thakur (co-organizer) were responsible for securing the license for the event.
